New 2009 Quik-Pak cargo trailers by

Cycle Tectonics and Optima:

The new 2009 Quik-Pak known for its lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum X-Ray frame, quick-release hitch, a coated waterproof cargo hold, adjustable ride height, 20-in. wheels, and its 7,500 cu.-in. heavyweight waterproof  cargo hold is now in the USA.

The new model with its unique axle support system allows you to fold your Quik-Pak quickly.   Optima Cycles of Holland is manufacturing our new trailers.   Working with Optima Cycles will provide a partnership that will allow us to manufacture, set up a dealer network, and distribute our trailers worldwide both through dealers and our website for those not near a dealer.

What we're about:

Quik-Pak's goal is to provide the finest quality bicycle cargo trailer that is light, large in capacity, and simple to use on the road.  We provide a reliable, easy-to-handle, trailer that will stand up on a world tour or a trip to the market.  "Simply the Best"!

Quik-Pak:

Since 1999 riders have been touring with the Quik-Pak cargo trailer in the USA, across Canada and Australia, in Europe, and Asia.  Whether you ride a road bike, mountain bike, recumbent, or trike Quik-Pak is "Simply the Best".  The new 2009 Quik-Pak is simply designed to provide quality performance and reliability.  The patented X-Ray frame and waterproof cargo hold provides the serious cyclist with a cargo trailer ready to meet the demands of the road.  It is lighter and larger than  a Burley Nomad or B.O.B. Yak .  Take a look at how the Quik-Pak compares to the Burley Nomad or B.O.B.

The X-Ray frame and easily removed axles allows you to easily fold your Quik-Pak and carry it like a suitcase in a moment.  (optional transport case available)

What customers are saying about QUIK-PAK :

"Out of all the trailers I've used and seen, your trailer has the best construction...you have the best wheels and hubs...alloy rims with good hubs for lower rolling resistance."

Mike Bentley (Mike's Mega Bicycle Links)

"Beautiful trailer work!  It arrived yesterday...I'm amazed at the simplicity and beauty of that trailer.  The thing is so light on the tongue, and I love the connection to the bike.  That is so easy.  You could teach the B.O.B. folks a lesson there.  I should be able to pull this thing anywhere from the office to across the world."     Richard

" This thing is really some piece of machinery."     Gary Kimball

" We just finished cycling in Austria using our brand new Quik-Pak IV and it worked as promised.  It rode very smoothly, with the quick-release attachment very easy to engage and remove.  The trailer made our trip a memorable experience."     Don Gurry

" We got our trailer today and already tried it out.  It is going to be great.  It is so steady you do not know you are towing anything.  We have a B.O.B. but will likely never use it again.  Thanks for shipping it so promptly.  Ernest and Jane de Vos

Cycle Tectonics:

Ray and Joan Quick have 35 years of experience in the bicycle industry, in retail, rental, and manufacturing.  Between 1987 & 1998 Joan and Ray operated their  second bicycle shop, Bike Tech.  During its tenure Bike Tech moved from a 168 square foot storage building to a 2500 square foot shop in downtown Canon City.  Joan managed the shop while Ray taught school during the day and repaired bicycles in the evening.  After selling their shop in 1998 Cycle Tectonics, inventors and manufacturers of the Quik-Pak, was started in the garage of their Canon City, Colorado home.   In 2007 Optima offered to manufacture and distribute our trailers.  We have been excited that they have maintained our high standards, and have made improvements we could not afford to make.

"We didn't feel bicycle trailers were keeping pace with the tremendous leap in technology seen throughout the industry.  We wanted to develop a trailer that did not affect the handling of the bike, was light, large in capacity, easy to use, and reliable during extended use.  The Quik-Pak is the result.  It has been tested during more than 10,000 miles of touring.  We have developed a trailer that we are proud of.  With the help of Optima we now have a product that not only competes with, but exceeds our competition.  The "Mercedes"  of bicycle cargo trailers.  We manufacture and sell only products that we use and believe in ourselves.  "Customer satisfaction is our primary goal."
